Treats scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation/brown spots, sundamage, redness, open pores. It can provide similar results to skin as IPL, without the use of light and heat. Medical grade- NZ's only Medsafe approved .
Our new Dermapen can target selected areas such as eyes and forehead.

What is Dermapen?
This is a clinical skin procedure which results in new collagen growth in the skin. The Dermapen device contains tiny micro needles which enter the skin vertically, triggering off stem cells to produce new collagen. The skin responds by filling in the tiny channels with brand new collagen, and grows another layer on top. The tiny microneedles are so fine, they part the tissue- there is no bleeding. Results are similar to IPL skin rejuvenation without using light.
How will it improve my skin?
The new collagen production plumps out fine lines and wrinkles, reduces sundamage, pigmentation, redness and open pores. Skin will appear brighter, smoother, more even in colour and texture. Especially effective on new and old scars, including acne and stretchmarks.
Who does it suit?
We can treat all skin types and colours, even very dark skin. Men, women, and teenagers. We don't treat during pregnancy. We are able to treat you safely over summer.

What happens during treatment?
We apply a gel to the skin, then gently start treating different areas at different depths. This is preformed by an experienced, qualified Dermal Therapist. Our therapists each have 30 years experience in treating skin. We recommend full face treatments for best results, but can do just targeted areas such as eye and mouth areas.
What will my skin look like afterwards? Is there any downtime?
Your skin will be pink afterwards for that day. It will feel and look a little like sunburn, with a slight sensitive, stinging sensation. You may still be slightly pink the next day, but you can apply makeup if you wish. There is no downtime, or need to take time off work the following day. Your skin may feel slightly dry for a week or so after.
Is it safe?
If preformed by an experienced, qualified therapist- it is extremely safe. Good for all skin types, colours and ages. The procedure is very sterile, with everything completely disposable and single use only.
What areas can be treated?
We can treat full face neck, chest, and anywhere else on the body.
How many treatments are needed and how often?
For best results, we recommend 1-3 treatments. Some skin problems may require up to 5. Treatments are at least 6 weeks apart, depending on your concern, and the result you want to achieve. It is up to you - but you will see a difference after just one treatment. Your skin will look more even in colour and texture, and look much healther.
How long will it last?
You will start to see a slight plumping of the skin around 6-8 weeks after treatment. This depends on the condition of your skin, what homecare products you use, and your age. For best results, we recommend the use of topical anti-oxidants such as medical grade Vitamin C before and after treatment. Daily use of a medical grade spf 30 is the most important. Your skin will continue to improve for up to 12 months.
We recommend a maintence treatment once every one to two years, depending on how well you look after your skin.
